We were challenged with the significant undertaking of designing a terminal and concourse within Incheon International Airport in Seoul, South Korea, the largest airport in the country and the iconic gateway to East Asia. Our team led the concept design and strategy for the terminal and concourse, in addition to creating design standards for retail tenants.
We had to create a vision that would resonate with the thousands of travelers passing through Incheon Airport each day. The innovative concept celebrates modern Korean heritage, iconic K-pop culture, and the cosmopolitan character of the airport. Design elements include suspended light installations, abstract ceiling and wall art, and contemporary urban architecture.
By leveraging technology, art, and elements from nature, our designs transform the airport experience and immerse travelers in the ultimate sensory experience.
