In 2022, the customer is looking for a refined retail experience that merges digital and physical. To bring enhanced emphasis to customers, brands, and speed, Designer Shoe Warehouse (DSW) does away with endless rows of merchandise and opts for memorable moments in their new brick-and-mortar format in Houston, Texas.

With this new concept called “Warehouse Reimagined”, DSW focuses on creating featured destinations of head-to-toe looks with an elevated focus on apparel and accessories. The new look and feel accentuates the latest and greatest looks pairing neutral notes of mixed industrial and polished materials like metals and woods. Paired with the signature DSW branding colors, the intrepid concept creates a truly ownable branded space.

As guests navigate the store, a specialty shop takes center stage to celebrate new collections and brand partnerships. Suspended from the ceiling, a large structure defines the featured area and creates emphasis on the highlighted brands.

The shopping spot includes digital signage and graphics for brand storytelling, oversized seating for easy try-on and additional areas along the perimeter for cross-merchandising. DSW will capitalize on this space by celebrating special launches, partnerships, social gatherings and cross-promotional opportunities.

A children’s area celebrates kids in a fun, playful and engaging way. Lowered fixtures and mirrors allow children the option to interact with the merchandise and immerse themselves in the shopping experience. Perhaps most fun is the feature destination within the kid’s shop that consists of a basketball court that cleverly camouflages stored inventory.
