We partnered with Simon Property Group to renovate an open-air shopping center in the Chicago suburbs. The goal was to upgrade its existing buildings and expand its footprint to accommodate more tenants and attract more visitors.  

Chicago premium outlets has great visibility and access, a powerful line-up of more than 120 tenants and is close to higher income residential areas, as well as nearby tourist attractions. By adding 300,000 square feet and new amenities including a skating pond, fireplaces, art installations, a play area and water features, the shopping center is now more than a place to shop. It is a playful, creative, and welcoming retail destination. Together, placemaking and unique amenities add character and activate dead spaces, bringing purpose back into the development. 

The expansion and renovation led to record sales for the project, and the new amenities package continues to attract more diverse consumers and keeps them around longer.
